Good Shepherd Preschool began as an outreach to the community by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in 1960. It is approved by the State Department of Education and has approximately 100 students. Programs are approved for two-year olds, three-year olds and Pre-K.

The preschool serves as a bridge between the home and school providing one of the first experiences of learning outside the home. We provide an opportunity for children to develop intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially within a nurturing and loving Christian environment. Our program is designed to develop the whole child, based on their individual talents, interests and abilities.

Educationally, our preschool strives to stimulate a love of learning and enjoyment of being in school. Hands-on experiences and creative playtime are essential elements for social and personal development in the preschool program. Children are given the opportunity to question, explore and discover and, in the process, develop a healthy self-esteem. Parent involvement is encouraged, as we find it is crucial to the success of the program and the healthy growth of the child.
